ALways cooking

Having owned a boutique catering company , my love for food only grew. Food must taste amazing, but its presentation is also an extremely important element to any recipe. This was just one of the key philosophies I followed with my catering business. Whether I was catering a small dinner party or a cocktail reception for 1000 guest, the attention detail, the presentation, the taste and as well as the menus created were designed to fit the surroundings and or theme, as these were all important components to my business.

With each event, I developed many tricks of the trade that transfer well into everyday life. I love the philosophy of going to the butcher for your meat & poultry, the fish market for your seafood, the farmers market for produce, the bakery for bread and as well as the liquor store for your cocktail needs. As I shop, I find inspiration for new recipes and cocktails. Although we need food to survive, cooking should not be a dreaded task but a fun experience. Whether that means pouring yourself a glass of wine or having a cocktail as you cook or sitting down and looking through cookbooks and magazines for inspirations, having the confidence in the kitchen to explore and create will elevate your food to the next level.

I started to Comida Hermosa as a vehicle to share my love for food and entertaining. It is here that I will share grocery store finds that can add that special something to a recipe, seasonal produce that inspire the farm to table vibe, a guide to help you focus your attention to presentation, because lets face it we eat with our eyes first, as well as great kitchen, garden and home entertaining needs. As well as inspirations from our local vendors, I will also feature restaurants, coffee shops, plants shops just to name a few that will help inspire you to enjoy Comida Hermosa!
